Winefest Des Moines combines the richness of wine country with the understated elegance of our mid-sized Midwestern city. Winefest hosts notable national and international vintners and wine importers, and pairs the world’s best wines with innovative culinary creations from guest chefs. Net proceeds from Winefest 2010 will benefit JDRF.

Winefest Des Moines will kick off its eighth year of fundraising and wine events with a fabulous Gala Auction & Disco Ball at the Hy-Vee Convention Center in West Des Moines. This year's theme is Cellar 54, a celebration of the famous 70s-80s New York discotheque, Studio 54. Attire for the event is Black Tie-Optional or 70s Disco-Chic.
Guests will begin the evening by enjoying a champagne reception while bidding on authentic, once and a lifetime opportunities in our silent auction. Next our guests will be privileged to enjoy a first-class, five-course, meal prepared by 6 local Des Moines Chefs, as well as, one Chef from our Sister State, Veneto, Italy. Dinner will be followed by dancing to Final Mix. The evening will include a disco dance competition and prizes for the best costume. Proceeds from the event will benefit JDRF.

The elegant Prima Dinners invite participants to enjoy some of the world’s finest wines paired with unique culinary creations from notable local chefs at some of Des Moines’ most unique restaurants and locations. Something New in 2010!
Sips & the City and The Grand Tasting will boast a new VIP area in 2010. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample premium wines and amazing hors d oeuvres. The VIP area will be located on the second floor of Capital Square. Admission is an additional $25. Tickets to the VIP area can only be purchased at the event.
